Corporate merch and delivery logistics for Tavush Conf and Retreat
Tavush Conf and Retreat is an off-grid lodge set in a clearing near the Haghpat river basin, well outside Yerevan's urban grid and roughly 200 kilometres north-east of the capital along the M4 highway and then a 12-kilometre side road through forested hill country; the drive runs four hours in good summer weather and not infrequently six or more in winter, when the Haghpat pass occasionally closes for short windows after heavy snow and the access road is graded for light traffic rather than trucks. The site reads more like a private retreat compound than a function venue — a small main lodge, three to five freestanding cabins in the 20 to 40 bed range, an outdoor pavilion that doubles as the plenary hall in good weather, and a separate fireplace room used for board sessions when the weather turns — and its calendar is dominated by leadership offsites, board retreats, embassy away-days, NGO strategy meetings, recovery and wellness programmes and small private celebrations. Plenary capacity is genuinely limited: the outdoor pavilion seats around 60 to 80 in good weather and the fireplace room caps at 20 to 25, so a retreat that needs plenary room for more than 80 people usually rents the entire site and adds a marquee for the larger days, which materially changes the merch brief because signage has to span both indoor and outdoor conditions. Roads are unsealed past the last kilometre, so last-mile couriers from the town of Dilijan or Alaverdi have to operate on a scheduled slot rather than an on-demand basis, with goods typically consolidated at a regional depot a day ahead then transferred to the site on a pre-arranged 4x4 or light truck; refrigerated items and printed-on-fabric pieces that cannot freeze-thaw should not be sent across the pass in deep winter and are usually rescheduled to a Yerevan hub and brought in personally. Courier is available inside Dilijan and Alaverdi town centres but not to the retreat gates; for any top-up stock the most reliable path is chartered transfer from a regional driver with the venue's event coordinator. The lodge's office accepts bank transfer in Armenian dram, ArCa, Idram, Visa and Mastercard; cash on-site in AMD is preferred for small reimbursements and the manager can route an emergency card payment through a satellite link when the regular network drops.
