Booth staff apparel
Inside a loyalty programme, the staff stream is the point at which the tier structure becomes visible to a customer who is not a customer. At a partner event or a member day, staff wearing the tier apparel communicate the programme to everyone in the room, including the prospects who are not yet members. Two consequences follow. First, the apparel must be visibly the same tier as the reward being handed out, because an inconsistency between what staff wear and what members receive is the kind of detail that gets remarked on. Second, this stream is usually the smallest and the most size-fragile: programme staff include account managers, call centre teams and regional managers whose sizes do not cluster. Collect sizes by name, keep a documented reserve for new starters, and specify a garment that survives a full day of wear because the staff in this stream are often the people also running the distribution desk.
