Our story since 2010
How merch.am grew from a single Yerevan workshop in 2010 to a 6-country corporate-merch network with EcoVadis Platinum rating and 200+ B2B clients.
2010 — Founding
Founded by Eugene Mishchenko in Yerevan as a small workshop serving local Armenian B2B clients with custom apparel and promotional items. Two production stations, three employees, one customer in the first month.
2012 — First enterprise client
Won the first multi-region contract: a regional bank with 14 branches needing a coordinated welcome-kit program. Built the first version of our quality-control playbook and recipient-personalization workflow.
2015 — Sustainability commitment
Joined Sedex and OEKO-TEX 100 supply network. Began offering organic-cotton and recycled-polyester variants on every catalog item. First EcoVadis assessment scored Bronze.
2017 — Expansion to Georgia
Opened Tbilisi office to serve the Georgian market and exploit the DCFTA-EU corridor. The Georgia office became our Caucasus expansion hub.
2019 — EcoVadis Silver
Recertified to EcoVadis Silver. Began offering full audit-document packets with every B2B order — a practice that became a hard tender requirement across mid-enterprise procurement by 2023.
2020 — Pandemic pivot
Shifted 35% of capacity to PPE and welcome-from-home kits as remote work scaled. Built the first version of our recipient-address-collection and direct-ship workflow that we still use today.
2021 — Türkiye partnership
Established Istanbul partner network giving us textile capacity at scale and access to Türkiye apparel manufacturing strengths. Türkiye remains our largest production hub for branded apparel.
2022 — Procurement integration practice
Won the first SAP Ariba and Coupa punch-out integration deals. Today our integration practice covers SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle iSupplier, Jaggaer, Ivalua, Workday, ServiceNow, and Concur.
2023 — EcoVadis Gold & UAE expansion
Recertified to Gold tier (top 5% of suppliers globally). Opened Dubai office to serve the Gulf market and luxury-tier clients. Cyprus office followed for EU-intra-bloc lane.
2024 — Serbia & Greek locale
Belgrade office opened to serve Western Balkans and Central Europe. Greek (el) locale launched in Cyprus to serve Greek-speaking enterprise clients across CY and GR.
2025 — EcoVadis Platinum & AIEO content
Recertified to Platinum (top 1%). Launched AIEO content infrastructure: per-locale knowledge graphs, machine-readable schema across 8,000+ pages, and the structured-data layer that makes every offering discoverable to AI search.
2026 — Today
Six countries, 9 languages, 200+ B2B clients, EcoVadis Platinum, integrated procurement at enterprise scale, and a 4-year roadmap toward net-zero operations by 2030.
What is next
Three-year focus areas: (1) circular-economy take-back at scale, (2) AI-driven per-recipient personalization at zero marginal cost, (3) deepening EU intra-bloc and Gulf cooperation council coverage. We are hiring across all 6 offices — see careers and culture.
