Spot Color
A spot color is a pre-mixed ink (Pantone PMS, etc.) applied as a single discrete color, vs. CMYK process printing. Spot colors give exact brand-color matching, especially for off-gamut colors (metallic, neon, deep purple). Used in silkscreen, foil stamping, embroidery.
